Michael Meeking

During his celebrated musical career, Michael Meeking has shared the stage with Mick Thomas, Boom Crash Opera, Tim Rogers, Nick Barker, Mia Dyson and Glen Tilbrook. Michael has enjoyed regular radio airplay from stations around the country including 3RRR, 3PBS, Double JJ and ABC radio. Regularly shortlisted for the Australian songwriter’s award his music is filled with soulful alt-country roots rock with chiming guitars, strong upbeat melodies and big choruses.

Michael has released 3 solo albums and 3 albums with his band the Lost Souls. A new album with the Lost Souls is due to be completed in mid 2021. After six years of musical success in the U.K. Michael returned home and re-formed The Lost Souls with Julien Chick on bass, Chris Gates on guitar, and Dave Kleynjans on drums.

Riflebirds

Get ready for a dose of electrifying, hip-shakin’ rock’n’roll with Melbourne’s own high-soaring Riflebirds.

The five-piece band’s latest collection of lightning in a bottle has been released: Live At The Espy – a killer set of tracks recorded at the legendary Esplanade Hotel with enough foot-stompin’ goodness to get you up and moving.

The new live Riflebirds album follows three highly acclaimed studio releases: Ain’t Ever Going Home (2018), World Feels Wide (2016) and the debut record Detours & Collisions (2015).

Channeling the spirit of keyboard-guitar led bands such as The Faces, Radio Birdman and The Heartbreakers, the band’s high-energy sound is created by Rowan Roebig (vocals, guitar), John Kenyon (guitar), Rod Collins (vocals, bass), Damian Toussaint (keyboards) and John Jessen (drums).

From Brunswick to Ballarat to Byron Bay, the band have played at some of the best-known live music venues and festivals in Australia. Festival appearances include NightJar, Leaps & Bounds, Darebin Music Feast, Spring Fling and Ballarat Beer Festival – and you’ll often see them on the bill at Melbourne’s legendary live venues such as The Labour In Vain, The Retreat, The Rainbow or The Espy.

They’ve toured up and down the east coast and beyond, sharing stages with the likes of Ron Peno, Dallas Crane, Dan Brodie, Ben Salter and Freya Josephine Hollick.

Kylie Auldist

Described as ‘the high priestess of Melbourne soul’ Kylie was best known as the lead singer of The Bamboos and an incridble solo artist in her own right before shooting to international prominence in 2016 thanks to the monster summer anthem ‘This Girl’ (Kungs vs Cookin’ feat. Kylie Auldist,) – her sublime vocals broke charts across the world.  The remix reached #1 on single charts globally and has been streamed over 1 billion times on Spotify and Youtube alone.

Melbourne’s own 6-piece soul outfit fuse suave beats, soulful grooves and chic melodies to underpin powerhouse soul diva vocals and sax swagger – giving this classic sound a modern, sassy twist.

Their debut album ‘Victim of Circumstance’ produced by Ivan Khatchoyan (Cookin’ on 3 Burners & The Traffic) quickly received PBS FM 106.7 album of the week, while earning international airplay and praise from BBC’s Craig Charles in the UK.

Carving themselves a strong live reputation in the Australian soul scene, Mayfield have spread their groove across the festival circuit, headlining Stonnington Jazz Festival, Soul-A-Go-Go and Chapel Summer Sessions. Notably turning heads on the St Kilda Festival New Music Stage, their stage presence mirrored the crowd’s engagement.

Lake Minnetonka

Based in Melbourne Australia, Lake Minnetonka features bandleader and composer Adam Rudegeair (PBS FM’s ‘Black Wax’, The Bowie Project) on keytar and synths, Jack Wieseler on guitar, Ann Metry (Sol Nation) on bass, Emily Shaw on drums and ‘AJ’ Jackson on tenor sax, as well as frequent guest vocalists and musicians. In addition to their own original robofunk tunes, Lake Minnetonka love to get down on classic Minneapolis joints from back in the day by the likes of Maserati, The Family, and Morris Day and the Time!

Moreland City Soul Revue

Formed in early 2009, with a mission to bring soul music to the masses, the Moreland City Soul Revue has been spreading the good word in Melbourne’s music scene for almost 12 years. Delivering gentle soul ballads through to high octane funk, with a rich tapestry of vocal harmonies, they have a sound which is uniquely their own. The band is comprised of some of the city’s finest players, who have individually, and collectively, shared the stage with many Australian music legends, such as Jeff Lang, Jimi Hocking, Even, Liz Stringer, Mia Dyson, Sal Kimber & The Rolling Wheel, just to name a few.

Get yourself a drink, strap on your dancing shoes, and come on a musical journey like no other.

Held the night before the festival, Gallagher’s Friday Night Degustation Dinner provides the best opportunity to mix and mingle with the brewers as you enjoy a delicious 5 course menu served with perfectly matched beers. Hosted by The Beer Diva and Professor Pilsner, the degustation dinner is a huge night on the Australian beer calendar and not to be missed. Tickets are sold separately to the main festival. Beer Diva, Kirrily Waldhorn has been involved in the industry for 20 years. She is one of Australia’s go to beer educators and is Dan Murphy’s Beer Ambassador. With experience in presenting on radio, TV and a heady list of consultancy, writing and judging in the beer industry, she brings 15 years’ worth of brewing knowledge to the classroom.
